Did not finish book. Stopped at 32%.

This book is not for me. The set-up felt forced (she has to do this project about daguerreotypes and instantly meets someone who knows about daguerreotypes?), the idea that people just have mercury laying around is WILD to me, the party scene made me uncomfortable and upset, and then the reaction of the girls finding out is absolutely absurd. Nobody had a question?! Nobody was like “no way, that can’t be true”?! They all IMMEDIATELY skipped to “I want a dream boyfriend too”?! I just can’t.
