The Return of the Maharaja by Sean E. Williams

3.0

Having finished the main arc before reading this story, I kind of preferred the thought of only seeing Charming again after his death in his ‘last story’, as it were. To be fair though, finding out that Charming’s bisexual made up for it. Nalayani was cool but one-dimensional: a fairly stereotypical mature/tortured/selfless heroine figure. The story was interesting enough to keep me reading, and the shock of Charming being back was a cool moment, but it’s fairly average in comparison to more complex Fables stories.
