The Haunting of Ashburn House
by Darcy Coates
“Ashburn’s dead are not at rest”.
I don’t read a lot of horror novels, but it’s ~spooky season~, so here I am. I loved the authors writing in this book, I liked the characters, loved Wolfgang, but felt like it should’ve been advertised as more of an “undead” book than a “haunting” book. It was pretty slow, but I think it worked well for this story! The author did an incredible job describing certain characters and events, and I actually shuttered twice while reading because it freaked me out. With that being said, I really liked the book and definitely recommend to all suspense and horror fans.
