This book was SO cute! I really love the way Sarah Adams writes her romances, they are so sweet, thoughtful, funny and have so much tension without a whole lot of spice!
I could feel the love and longing between Nora and Derek from page 1! I love a good second chance romance with lots of tension and this truly delivered! Nora and her quirky, cute sense of humour was a real highlight for me. The way she and Derek interacted (even when he was being a grump) had me giggling. Derek, with his grumpy exterior, was a true joy to get to know more throughout the book, and I really loved being able to see both of their reactions and responses to one another and their situation. We got a good little glimpse of their relationship in college which I thought was really necessary to drive the book forward, so I appreciated that!
Sometimes I did find myself wondering why these two didnโt just communicate to one another, so there is a little miscommunication trope here but it isnโt a problem to me! Overall, this book was super fun, light and fresh, just like all of Sarah Adamsโs books and I highly suggest it!
