while i think itʼs sad that wylan didnʼt get any chapters ( like cʼmon, the bookʼs name is SIX of crows ), i quite enjoyed it. i liked the relationships of the characters a lot – i adore wylan & jesper, like they are SO cute. they literally feel like home to me, i couldnʼt love any character by leigh more ( i usually like her characters though ), they feel like so much more than just fictional characters. while i donʼt think they really got THEIR moments in soc, they definitely got them in ck. i loved jesper because there was so much more than just comedy about his character. i just wanted to hug him, it felt like he “lost his identity“ because he “wasnʼt a good grisha“. even though leigh explained why wylan never got his own chapters, i am of firm conviction that the chapters wouldʼve been about jesper, because iʼm telling you, he fell first and harder. and nina and matthias ?? i love them. while theyʼre not my favorite couple, the chemistry was still there, and it was one of the best things iʼve ever read. plus, forbidden romance is a smash. and matthias willing to change his way of thinking for nina is a green flag, iʼm telling you. i loved the way they insulted each other but made it seem like these insults were just cute nicknames. inej and kaz are definitely one of the best things on earth, honestly. i loved them, their dynamic, the way they communicate with each other. love love love. and inej is honestly one of my favorite fmcs ever. not just is she smart and thinks about herself before thinking about her future with kaz, she’s also hot. 💃 while i sadly donʼt like leighʼs writing a lot, i still was able to get over that in this series. 4 / 5 ✯, i loved the book and i would definitely reread it.
