Must Love Silence by Lucy Bexley

2.0

Definitely could do with another proofreading pass. I started noticing significantly more grammatical errors by the last fourth of the book, and that made me wonder how much I hadn't noticed before it. Looking back, I think it was also around that part where the book started to lose me. It had a solid first half, but by the end it felt like I was reading a different book altogether. The Arden in the latter parts of the book felt like one transposed from a parallel world, and I had to go back to the beginning more than once to make sure the characters weren't younger than I remembered them to be.

Still, I appreciate the book touching on sobriety. I admit I have almost zero knowledge on the topic (I feel that we are "behind the times" where I live) and it helped me understand the issue better.
