Hook, Line, and Sinker by Tessa Bailey

This book was weird because half of the development happened in the previous book as the B plot. And I didn’t pay attention (because it was the B plot) so it was weird to start this book and the relationship was already developed. I was busy paying attention to the actual plot of the previous book! Like half of it already happened behind scenes. Plus story-wise, there wasn’t anything there. Like why? Why not date? This is friends to lovers, there has to be a distinct reason why they don’t engage in a relationship. And it just felt like a shadow of a reason.

Also, I’m not a music person. And I’m not really in tune with sea shanties so I truly didn’t understand the emotional weight of that. But maybe that’s just me.
