I really wanted to like this. It wasn't bad, I just don't know if it was for me. I struggle a lot with atmospheric books as I don't visualize things in my head - I'm really good at feeling though and unfortunately this book didn't make me feel much dread or terror which is what I love to experience during a horror book. A lot of it was somewhat boring conversations between the people at Hill House and unfortunately nothing really happened to make this a win for me.
