I know I ought to be more descriptive, but Hayes poetry will do much more than I possibly can. How tobe Drawn is monumental, varied, intimate, ecclectic, and a thousand other adjectives. Hayes captures something here in his poetry that is distinctly human, whether it be in his examination the the politics of race or musings on art and drawing, the poems are endowed with a sublime sense of being in the world.
