This book blew me away! Was definitely a top 5 book of all time. I absolutely loved the crabby Hux and the sassy Everly. Throw in a fake relationship, I’m all in. This book starts out where The Bribe finished. Everly has just fled Nashville after the stalker incident. She camps out and watches the town Calamity from her studio apartment. One night she meets Hux next thing you know an idea is formed. I love the crabby hero’s because when they fall they fall hard. Everly was spunky. She was determined. I loved how she didn’t let things bother her. I loved how she took charge in the gallery and made things happen. How she didn’t let Katie get to her.
Things in Hux and Everly past was similar. What they felt and went through will pull on your heartstrings. Savannah’s relationship with her Dad, more heartstrings. I was teary eyed a few times during this book. I had to stop reading a few times and just take in the book.
The was also a little mystery to this book. It kept the pages turning. More than 5 stars!
