A short, fun story about a reaper who wants to retire and needs to find a replacement. A non-binary baseball player named Kelsey seems to be a good fit until things don't go quite as planned.

There was some interesting world-building in 50 pages and I'd be interested to learn more about Kelsey's journey to becoming a reaper. Also, I want more Ava and her cafe!

However, I found some of the humor a little on-the-nose for me, especially with Reaper Z antagonizing characters (and getting zapped in truth) but we only read it through transcripts. I wish we got to experience the humor directly, through present-day interactions; I'm guessing there will be more in future books.
