I've been on a Grecian kick this year and once I started this one, I couldn't put it down. I think in the case of many wars, people tend to think the story is over as soon as somebody wins. This book disproves that and focuses on the aftermath, the painful recovery, and especially the plight of women trying to survive in a society dominated by their male enemies. Tragic and often brutal, but still a beautiful book.
