Carve the Mark
by Veronica Roth
4.5 stars**
Carve The Mark was pretty good. It wasn't perfect at all and it had its boring moments. There was a point about 100 pages into it where, if it weren't written by Veronica Roth, I might have given it up. But after a while I came to be really invested in the story and characters. I love Cyra and Akos. It's kind of rare for me when I like the female protagonist as much as I liked Cyra (I usually like the boy characters more). But she just felt so real with flaws and strengths. I'm definitely excited for the sequel and where the story goes.
