i absolutely loved this book. the writing was so beautiful. i loved how to story was told through letters and journal entries. that allowed for some really cool perspectives and was a different way of storytelling. a lot of people seem to not like that the story isn’t action packed and that we don’t really “see” dracula but i actually really enjoyed that. i think it drove the mysterious element of the book for not only the characters but for us as readers. i also thoroughly enjoyed mina as a character. she was by far my favorite sections to read.
note: this book was written in the 19th century so you really just have to gloss past the sexism and remember the time period. i found myself rolling my eyes but would just move on lol.
