Re-listened to June 27-28, 2021.
Wow! It’s been almost 6 years since I first listened to this.
Things that irritated me:
1. Curt didn’t seem so flamboyant and effeminate in previous books so I’m not sure why it was turned up to a 10 in this book.
2. I really would have loved to hear Jack’s part of the story - only having Curt’s POV felt half-baked
3. I get that Jack is from the south and that honey can be frequently used as an endearment - it just seemed out of character for Jack to use this word.
4. After you agree not to see any other people and then you forget to inform the other people who say hey I want to see you when I get back….that’s no low self-esteem, that’s being passive aggressive.
After this second listen, I downgraded my rating to a three.
