This was quite an enjoyable read and better than I had expected. Though I do have a problem with a male author writing from the perspective of a female character (for reasons of feminism and possible sexist comments about women), Matt Haig did an overall good job portraying Nora Seed.

Choosing to write multiple lives of Nora in each chapter, Haig captured the character's personality in a great way, from a reader's point of view. The journey Nora takes in trying to find her meaning in life is one that had me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what new life she would have next. This is a great read for readers who like the library setting, miss their elementary school librarians (shout-out to Mrs. Mendrop) or even just love a good dark or light academia read!
