I picked this one up because it was a sports romance. I was also curious about it being a romantic suspense. 

Lochlan is a hockey player who is a shoo in for the NHL. He meets Lyla who wears oversized clothes and claims to hate people. He is persistent to get her. 

She then disappears for 3 years and he is on the hunt to find her. He won’t let her go again. 

Who is this person that has caused so much pain to Lyla? Why does she feel they need to completely change who she is? 

This book contained so much more than just a sports romance. There are darker elements so make sure to read all the TW. I loved the support system that Lyla has. Her friendships are relationships that anyone would be lucky to have. I also really liked Lyla and Lochlan’s relationship. He is possessive, but written really well.
