It is hard to give a vibe to this book, since it is its own thing, but if I had to, I would say it is like reading Dark Soul lore, but with the dread and eldrich horror of Fear & Hunger. It is a book about a video game that doesn't exist, and yet I can totally see this being a game. The fact that the game doesn't exist and the world feel alive (as alive as this land filled with death can be) is remarkable. The entirety of the world and vibe comes from the beautifully haunting illustrations throughout the book

Beautifully dark story, haunting and a wonder to look at art packaged in the world of an unknown video game. It just hits all the right things for me.
