I found the first half of this book quite slow. I think it could have been condensed, and the entire book could use a bit more editing in regard to punctuation.
But once I got to a certain event about halfway through (no spoilers), I couldn't put the book down! The action picks up at that point, and everything that has been set up in the first half of the book comes to a head.
I especially enjoyed the worldbuilding in this story, and I love that it's set in a queer normative society!
Warning that this book ends in a huge cliffhanger, and I am definitely going to read the sequel to find out what happens.
