Aveline by Lizzy Ford

5.0

I received a free copy through Netgalley, in return for an honest review.

To start off with the less positive points: I almost hadn't asked for this ebook because of the cover. I really hope that I'm the only one to whom the title-font and demure looking model give it the vibe of a crappy romance-novella, because that's just what this book is absolutely not! Oh, and the open ending - I'm almost exploding when I think how long it must take for part 2 to be there!

Well, that's it for the less positive points. I love how the characters all are great, but not perfect (hm, except Arthur, Werner and Rocky perhaps). The action was perfectly timed and sometimes downright creepy, and the storyline had me hooked from the start. It was way too difficult to lay this book down again, even while I had to work, eat and sleep between reading.

Anyway, in case you hadn't guessed from what I wrote and my star-rating: I loved this novella. I want more!
