i honestly wanted to like this more than i did, i was so excited to read it given that it was on my tbr for a while and i got to read it finally for my summer class. i don’t know if it’s the mindset i’m in but the plot progression was just not great to me. the writing wasn’t spectacular but that could definitely be that some of the magic was lost through translation. the concept was so interesting and i honestly thought the ending was a redeeming quality. not sure about what my true star reading for this is or should be but i’m gonna leave it at a 3 for now.
