PLOT TWISTS ON PLOT TWISTS ON PLOT TWISTS!
I devoured this book. I could NOT put it down. Can we talk about the very first paragraph?
"I thought dying would hurt more. Not that it’s something one thinks about until it happens. Lucky for me, if luck is involved at all, the axe in my skull is in just the right position, numbing certain parts of my body. Or maybe the shock of the whole ordeal conceals my pain, I can’t be sure"
I was hooked!!
I like to think I'm well versed in the thriller genre, but I was still absolutely blindsided by many of the plot twists.
This is a 4.5 star read for me. I was upset by some of the main character's decisions in the latter half of the book. Decisions that could have led to extremely dangerous consequences.
This is an incredible thriller debut. I cannot wait to read more of her writing.
