“. I’m always astounded to hear about the number of people who don’t read. I’ve taken to double-checking those sobering statistics compiled by Literacy Inc., that 33 percent of high school graduates never pick up another book, and that 42 percent of college grads don’t either. Oh yeah, and apparently 80 percent of American families did not purchase a book this year. I can’t imagine what people do without books in their lives.”
