While reading this book, I could not help but get Bridgerton vibes. Particularly Season two with Anthony and Kate only the Duke of Crestmont aka Matthew and Jo were the couple. Their will they or won’t they intimate moments had me feeling all sorts of heart pounding feelings.
There was this one scene where Matthew had informed Jo that he was ready to marry one of the prospects from her list and Jo tells Matthew that he can’t because he does not love the other woman. Oh, the many make out scenes between these two was delightful. Jo really helped make a change in Matthew to believe that he can and should marry for love.
