3.25

I ended up giving this 3.25 stars on Storygraph. I normally hate the (very common) storyline in mystery books/shows where the main character is accused/suspected of the crime, but since this is a ~cozy mystery, nothing too bad happened. I thought the reason that the crime was committed (like the murderer's motivation) was sort of dumb, but I liked the murderer reveal even though she was acting kind of obvious the whole time. As always, there's not a ton of character development and this was a very plot-driven book, but I'm enjoying it anyway since that's what this type of book is generally like. I did like that some of the side characters were getting more screen time. I love Kimmy and I hope that she gets to feature more in future books! Also at this point, Lana needs to just open a PI company with her friends since people keep dying around her lol.

One more book and then I'll have to wait till this summer for #9 to be published!
