This was a sad collection of short stories...but realistic and true. Tove Ditlevsen is great with words, creating overall melancholy stories in simple settings. She wrote these stories decades ago...but they felt modern and relatable.
It is true...there is trouble with happiness, and these bleak moments will always be with us. But I think the challenge and the great part of life, is learning to live and find brightness in these moments.
