Leviathan Falls by James S. A. Corey
5.0

I predicted the ending after the first few chapters and loved the journey the whole way there. It’s a bit slow at times, and unlike the earlier books in the series that ramp up exponentially halfway through, this one repeatedly slows down to more or less reminisce about the good ole days while still moving the plot forwards a bit more slowly (it’s still a pretty wild ride in the second half). And despite its slow sections I still couldn’t put it down. It’s a dramatic and satisfying ending to the whole series, with a nice little epilogue that honestly leaves me wanting more from this universe. I’m likely to go read the short novellas that have been sprinkled throughout the series but I imagine I’ll be wishing for more long form stories from this universe. But I’m also fine with not getting them, better to wish for more than wish they would have left well enough alone.
