I don’t know much abt the history and archaeology of it all (and it seems like from other reviews that this wasn’t super well received by the academic community), but for me it was and interesting read and also serves as a timely reminder of the importance of accurate records. It matters who writes history, who interprets history, and who preserves history bc each person is approaching those tasks with their own biases and agendas.
