Braxton's Storm Moon by Cyndi Faria

3.0

Braxton and Mina’s romance has been well under way before we even get the first sentence. This short and sweet story isn’t about how they came together; it’s about how they stay together and conquer deep rooted fears. Braxton and Mina have been together for 10 years. He proposed to her five years before the present events, but wanted to wait until he could afford a ring and got his business up and running. Mina, now pregnant with their second child, has been waiting for the day they’ll finally be married. Brax has fears about marriage that stem from his parents’ failed marriage. He fears everything will change and Mina will leave him, despite being fated mates. When Brax finds her wedding journal, where she’s planned a frugal wedding, he becomes upset. Mina gives him an ultimatum, requiring Braxton to choose between his family and his fears. The pack rallied behind Braxton and Mina to pull off the impossible.

With this being a brief introduction to the Timber Cove Wolves MC, and references to wolf shifters, I was a little surprised that these fated mates didn’t have mate bites. I’m curious to see how this pack, and world, unfolds. I know this a short story, but I wish the author weaved in some much-needed world building.
