Head empty, "Galaxy Stern, I have been crying out to you from the start" and "I will serve you 'til the end of days" playing on loop.
A good sequel, with good character development, and those fascinating pieces of worldbuilding Leigh Bardugo does so well.
It lacked some of the magic of the first book atmosphere-wise, but the plot was more simple and straightforward which I appreciated in comparison to Ninth House's often convoluted prose. However, much like Ninth House, something remains missing to make me fall head over heels in love. As much as I like these characters, I don't feel as attached to them as I'd like. It's mainly the world that has me enthralled.
Leigh Bardugo, I want a 5-star finale. And, still, we didn't get nearly enough Darlington.
