And my time now is done with Darius.

I really enjoyed these two books, but if I were to be honest I enjoyed DTGINO is better than DTGDB.

I loved the Iranian influence in book 1, where this was very much the American YA novel. Not saying that’s a bad thing.

I felt there was a lot in between the books that should have been in the book or glossed over. Darius’ coming out, the problems at home, meeting Landon, but still enjoyable.

Chip had great character development, as did Darius but he felt more whiny this time around.

The title is right, he deserves better. Souhrab felt more like a cameo star than bestie.

Love Mamou. And The Kellners are a great family.

Glad soccer worked out for him, glad he got to know his worth, glad he embraced himself.

Overall, it’s a 3 from me. I hope there is more to come.
