I am probably gonna sound pretentious writing this, a word which here means "someone trying to appear or sound more important or clever than they are". With that being said, I somehow really enjoyed this book. It does get repetitive, it feels like it lacks direction on where it's going, but I really enjoyed how bewildering and quirky it was. It had me laughing, had me thinking nostalgically with a sprinkle of philosophy here and there. It's also very reminiscent of the book called 'The Little Prince' which I loved, except this one is more on the mysterious and cheerful side. I feel like this is probably not everyone's cup of tea however, unless you already enjoy other books written by Lemony Snicket.
