mysterious
tense
slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven:
A mix
Strong character development:
No
Loveable characters:
No
Diverse cast of characters:
No
Flaws of characters a main focus:
Yes
Fascinating novel about the most insufferable, yet interesting cast of characters.
This is my first time re-reading TSH in over a decade and I forgot how unreliable the narration is... everyone is either drunk, drugged, out of their mind some way, and/or lying (to others and themselves)
I love how the narration is so unreliable and the characters are so rich (metaphorically) that you could read this novel multiple times and speculate the perspectives of the events from another character.
Also Judy Poovey they could never make me hate you !!!
