The Soldier's Scoundrel by Cat Sebastian
4.0

A really fun gay regency romance with excellent characters. I particularly loved Oliver Rivington, an upright, moral man who nevertheless grows to accept the reality of a world where justice favours the privileged. Jack Turner, whose book this is, is less interesting to me personally – his whole deal is that will solve problems that noblemen cause, and damn the methods as long as he achieves his aim of, if not retribution, then reprieve. But their romance is lovely, and hinges on trust and faith in one another. Also, that whole sequence where Oliver tries to ruin his reputation and plays cards chastely in the company of prostitutes was truly hilarious.
