This is our school’s current One Book, One school read. Every family got a copy and read it at home, one chapter a day. I read it at home as well. It was a really cute book that had diversity but wasn’t so in your face. I thought the message was great, and it kept me invested even as an adult. I listened to the audiobook, and the narrator did a great job. Her accents for people of different races didn’t sound forced or bad haha. The kids have loved reading this book at home, surprisingly most of them have done it with their families! They like telling me about the bitten haha.
