Leigh, a toting stepmother to two boys and caring wife, leaves for her usual work trip to Scotland and no one hears from her again. Mark and his two sons are very concerned about her disappearance and call the police.
Kai, who is married to a rich Dutch husband, doesn’t return home after taking care of her sick mother over the weekend. Daan, her husband, is not as concerned as he should be.
But what do Kai and Leigh have in common? Well, they’re both missing-and seemingly that’s all, until the detectives on the case put all the pieces together.
This book had quite the plot twist at the end. I think it could have been a 5 star read, but (plot twist aside, I liked that) I wasn’t a big fan of the ending. It felt too quick to me, and I wish I had just a bit more.
