Marie Mackay is a Queen of dark omegaverse stories and Queen of Diamonds is no exception! From the very first chapter, this book latches onto your heart and refuses to let go.
Glade is a character that you can’t help but love. Even after years of trauma and abuse at the hands of a cruel alpha she’s still willing to sacrifice herself to save the people she loves. I love that even though Glade is extremely traumatized she hasn’t been broken.  No matter how much pain it causes her, some stubborn, fiery piece of her personality refuses to let Ace win. I also love how Mackay develops the alphas characters throughout the story. As you learn more about each of them and find out what they’ve been through, you can’t help but love them, even if they are a little (or a lot) psycho.
If you like suspense, heartbreak, revenge, hurt/comfort, found family, psycho alphas, and plenty of spice, including MM between alphas, then you need to read this book!

*Spoilers*
The part of this book that really sticks with me is when Glade chooses to take power back from Ace. It isn’t when she breaks him or when he’s killed, those give her closure and safety. It’s when she’s writing the letter to Ace and her pack. She realizes that her love for her mates is what gives her strength, what keeps her from breaking. No matter what Ace does to her, he can never truly win because there’s nothing he can do to destroy her love for them.
