six of crows six of crows six of crows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure all of my followers are well aware of how dore this book and just ahhhhhh. I can't give you a coherent review. this is one of my favourite books of all time. this was a reread (read for the first time just over a year ago) and I didn't believe it was possible but I love this even more than I did when I read it last year! Leigh Bardugo is just astounding at creating a vivid world and characters that you adore, like i deeply deeply care about every single one of the characters in this book (other than wylan HAHAHAHAHAHH SORRY HE'S SO BORING IN THE FIRST BOOK).

This book was just a masterclass in beautiful writing and amazing character dynamics. I read it pretty quickly the first time around and I'm glad I was able to read this slower now that I know what happens and I was really able soak in this book. I tabbed the shit out of it and highlighted literal pages of it. It was so amazing to read this knowing where all the characters end up. I had way more appreciation for how seamlessly Bardugo reveals the characters' back stories into the plot as you slowly understand each of them more (APART FROM WYLAN HAHAHHHA GUYS HE'S ACTUALLY SO BORING OMG HAHAHAHAHAHAH).

Things that changed upon reread: I was way more impressed with the world building upon second reread, I just love how well thought out the world is and I don't think I fully appreciated how cool everything was in this book! Another thing that really surprised me was that I didn't like Jesper or Wylan (ESPECIALLY WYLANB HAHAHAHAHAHHA) as much this time I think they both get a lot more development in the second book so this may change though (I still really liked Jesper but he wasn't as interesting to me). Also, liked Matthias and Nina way more. I was a lot more interested in Nina's storyline and her grappling with living as a grisha and her missing home, I was able to empathise with her a lot more. Also surprisingly Matthias, I thought his whole story was so so interesting and I think knowing his full arc and by reading and understanding the whole story a lot slower I think I was able to apprecitate the story-telling and his character a lot more. I think I've gotten a lot more comfortable readig books and rooting for characters that are more black and white over the past year! And I don't even wanna talk about kaz and inej. I just. okay ajhdafhdsjkfhdhadsgasdhf pls ahhhhh sdfdsfjsd. I will yell at you about this if you wanna hear it cause highkey I do really need to talk about it to someone to get it out of my system guys like i'm honestly very insane about this in a very well-adjusted normal person way.

This woman made me laugh, she made me cry, she made me believe that these characters are real people in a real world that love each other and hate each other and take care of each other and ahhhhhh😭😭😭 she has a way of writing where I can really just see what's going on, she is so good at description without over doing (like miss sarah j maas) I honestly don't think I have anything bad to say about this book. please read it. for your own good.

Anyway, if you want to know more about this book, please talk to me in person and I will talk AT YOU for as long as you'll let me (but only IF you either have read the book or never plan on reading it. If you have an inkling that you may pick it up sometime in the future I will not spoil it for you, some of these moments are just so bone crushing when you read them for the first time and spoilers really matter in a book like this, you really need the reward of finally getting there) eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 5 stars.
