I'm not really a fan of non-fiction books, but this one was well-written and gripping. The author masterfully builds up the relationship of the characters and I found it a very exciting and emotional read. It was very well-researched and the author effortlessly took me in to the time period and made me feel like I was a part of the story. I was almost sad when it was over.
I did see the movie when it came out but honestly don't remember much of it. I'm hoping to catch a viewing of it again, now that I've read the book.
