Though Darcy is the most INSUFFERABLE narrator, I genuinely enjoyed a book written in her perspective. Her round characterization was used perfectly to demonstrate her transformation. Though she was used as a plot device in the first book to motivate Dex and Rachel to fall in love, her characterization is this book is complex and interesting. Rachel being the foil to Darcy makes the way both books written to make complete sense. I loved the way her story with Ethan evolved. I didn’t think I would enjoy this book as much as I did.
