As Time Goes By by Mary Higgins Clark

1.0

I’m not sure if it was the writing or the audiobook narration, but it felt like someone trying really hard to fit in by showing they know the cool lingo, except the lingo is just common English words and phrases, over emphasized in strange ways. I’d think that maybe they were going for intentionally cheesy melodrama, except that it wasn’t consistent. And what should’ve been the most dramatic parts – all the “big reveals” (which were entirely predictable) – were delivered in such a nonchalant manner, you could almost miss them.
