Boy Parts by Eliza Clark

dark medium-paced

2.5

i went into this book thinkin that it would be similar to ‘eileen’ by ottessa moshfegh which is one of my all time fav books and it is sort of similar if we compare it with the *unhinged female mc's internal monologues* and eileen is also not really a likeable character at all but i enjoyed reading her i was rooting for her but irina was jus too much for me and too problematic?
the book was kinda all over the place almost to a point where i thought whats the point of all this? but there were some parts where i could relate to her frustration, anger and dissociation however i still couldnt get emotionally attached to her character
all in all a very disturbing read that i didnt quite like
(note that im someone who likes reading disturbing books)
