Overall opinion of the book:

This book was an absolute pleasure to read, I thoroughly enjoyed how heart warming it was. I love how festive this book made me feel, it’s definitely the perfect read for the month of December (I would read it all year round however).

It was a book that was written brilliantly. When reading, I didn’t notice any typos or grammatical errors. If you’ve read any of my previous book reviews then you know this is something I’m a stickler for! Maxine self published this book, and considering I’ve noticed many errors in books that have been published through publishing houses, I think this is rather impressive!

Although I’m an adult I still enjoyed this book. I know I would have fallen in love with all of the characters if I had read this as a child as it’s a feel good, magical book. It’s also rather funny in parts.

In addition to the great story Maxine has written, she has also included brilliant illustrations to accompany the chapters, ones which she drew herself. They mirror the story well and would definitely spark a child’s imagination.

I enjoyed this book so much that I was a little sad when it ended as it was only a short read! There are two other books that Maxine has released that contain the same characters however, so if your children enjoyed reading this book, they can continue following the adventures of Ronny!

I probably sound like I’m being over the top with how positive this review is, and you can blame it on my festive spirit if you want, but I honestly can’t think of anything negative to say about this book! It’s so creative and imaginative. Ronaldo is one of those fictional characters that many children would wish they could meet!

Final thoughts:

This book definitely deserves 5 stars as it was such a lovely, enjoyable read. It’s a book children would enjoy being read and adults would enjoy reading. It’s also the first book I’ve given a 5 star review for so far!

I would definitely recommend picking up a copy of this book if you have children. It’s a brilliant read just in time for Christmas and it’s only a few pounds – an absolute bargain in my opinion! It made me feel so cheerful and Christmassy, you really can’t go wrong with a children’s story to lighten up your mood from time to time.

I can only give praise to Maxine for the brilliantly imaginative and creative world she has created in this book.
