Do People Grow on Family Trees?: Genealogy for Kids & Other Beginners : the Official Ellis Island Handbook by Ira Wolfman

Solid writing. Organization was not great - book interrupted itself with inserts (often full-page inserts) too often. While ostensibly for kids, would still be a great book for adult beginners. Lots of the book is dedicated to the immigrant experience, which feels misplaced to me given most people would have a hard time making it back to the immigrant stage, but there's still lots of good general genealogy material here. Especially fond of their section on interviewing.
