Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse

Thank CHRIST this book was short. This book is for white men in college who think they're into Eastern philosophy but are actually just interested in looking smarter than you. There's no real plot. It meanders along. It drove me crazy that he was like "I can't be who my father wants, so I can never see him again." Why not? Why not??

It was short, I'm glad I read it. The philosophy was interesting if you like philosophy. Which I don't, at least not for philosophy's sake. The almost-intro to Buddhism was interesting, I guess. But really, I kind of felt like this book was a waste of my time.
