I have zero complaints about this book other than I wanted more and i'm glad I have book 2 on deck.
I read a TON of YA books specifically YA fantasy and this was soooo wonderful.
Characters that had good backstories, romance that was well thought out, banter that was top notch and a magic system that left me curious and excited to read book 2.
Some people say its a slower start but honestly I didn't have that issue I was hooked very early on with Iris and her story/journey with her family and the paths that she was taking as a writer.
Overall a very enjoyable read with whimsical writing that painted a very vivid picture for the reader.
