The Takedown by Carlie Walker is a captivating, action-packed romance where CIA agent, Sydney Swift, is tasked with returning home for the holidays as her sister happens to be newly engaged to the son of a major crime family. Furthermore, said crime family is supposedly responsible for multiple recent art heists & other serious crimes & is wanted by several government agencies. Sydney makes it home for the holidays at her grandmother’s home only to be met with a house full of her sister, her sister’s fiancé & her fiancé’s bodyguard. The chemistry between Sydney & the bodyguard is out of this world. The sparks are immediate & sets ablaze to one fiery extravaganza of a story.
The Takedown is perfect for fans of…
🖤Romantic Suspense
🖤Forced Proximity
🖤CIA agent meets Bodyguard
🖤Badass Heroine
I live for a strong & fierce heroine & this one beyond delivers. It was fascinating experiencing this story through the mind of a CIA agent & how the brain is constantly working to protect oneself & others whilst outsmarting the bad ones. This was a rollercoaster of a good time, which gave the reader an interesting mix of entertainment, humor, action, spice & love. I highly recommend this read for anyone that loves mystery &/or romance!
The Take Down perfectly balances intriguing mystery, enthralling romance, entrancing suspense & a dash of holiday cheer for a 5 out of 5 stars adventure.
