The Case of the Cryptic Crinoline by Nancy Springer

4.0

Book 5 was a free download from the YA Audiobook Sync program this summer. It's why I borrowed the first 4 audiobooks from my local library.

The loving landlady of Enola is kidnapped one day, and Enola is trying to figure out why. Once again, I felt that the prologue provided some good opportunities for predictions, but it was a bit predictable for an adult reader. Still didn't take away from my enjoyment of the story. I liked the inclusion of a real-life famous person, and it made me want to learn more about Florence Nightingale.

The only "negative" I can think of about this story was the fact that it meant that there was only 1 book left in the series!
