A stunning novel that is beautiful, harrowing, and profoundly moving. It's a story about flower magic, political intrigue, families and friendship, and it's very much about a young girl who is becoming something other than she is. There is so much beauty here, but the story is also shot through with sorrows (in more than one way) and darkness. A must-read for lovers of fantasy.
