These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong

Did not finish book. Stopped at 34%.

I couldn’t root for any of the characters, and they also weren’t memorable. I barely remember any of them besides Juliette and Roma. There’s too much descriptive language that tells me nothing and if it were cut out this book would be a lot more enjoyable. The scientist scene too ruined my immersion (how could he notice all the things he did immediately?). I think it’s a stellar idea that would’ve been great if it were written by any other author.
